Born in Hyderabad and raised in New Jersey, Shivani grew up balancing two vibrant cultures. Her love for Indian fashion began early; by age 13, she was sketching designs, sourcing fabrics, and collaborating with tailors to bring her visions to life. While her career path initially took her into healthcare consulting, her passion for design and artistry never faded. Ultimately, Shivani made the bold decision to leave the corporate world behind and return to Hyderabad, where Label Prem Anand was born as a tribute to her Indian-American identity.

The name Prem Anand is a deeply personal tribute to Shivani’s paternal and maternal grandfathers, who were her biggest inspirations. Prem means love, and Anand means happiness—two emotions that are at the heart of everything the brand creates.
